Donate Property to BACLT

Leave a Legacy:

By donating your land or home to BACLT, you can leave a legacy of permanently affordable housing for generations to come, enjoy substantial tax deductions, while challenging our runaway, speculative real estate market. 

There are many ways of making a legacy donation:

  • Donate you land and home(s) through your Trust or Will.

  • State in your Will that the Estate will sell the property to BACLT at below market price after you die.

  • Sell or donate your property to Bay Area CLT now, at below market price.

  • Donate your property now and continue living in your home for as long as you choose to.

  • Donate some of the equity from your home to Bay Area CLT to use to create affordable housing.

Each option has advantages depending on your needs, goals, and financial situation. There are tax advantages to each possibility, and we recommend you consult with a professional to decide which best matches your own situation. The options listed here are flexible and BACLT is open to being creative with the possibilities, as we are all in this together.
